Find Your Flow in 2024

Athletes, musicians, artists often attribute their peak performances to “being in the zone,” an optimal state of competition, execution, and inspiration called the flow state.

You’ve likely experienced this flow state on the bike, and know how rich that experience can be. Flow brings us to those smooth and focused rides where fitness, skill, and drive effortlessly unite. You become fully immersed in the rhythm of your effort and the feeling of the bike beneath you, external noise and distractions fading away.

Goal-setting, mindfulness, and creating a “trigger” are a few parts of cultivating a routine that will help bring you to that potent and near-mystical flow state. There’s no default method of entering a flow state - you’ll need to practice and refine the process over time, just like physical training.
