FAQ

How does 1:1 Coaching work?

We’ll meet weekly or monthly, depending on your selected service, via phone or Zoom. During that time, we’ll discuss your recent and upcoming training, and review training data, mindset work, and any upcoming events.

How much does it cost?

6- and 12-month subscriptions are available for both weekly and monthly coaching. Prices start at $350/month for our weekly service, and $200/month for monthly.

Do I need a power meter?

Although not required, we highly recommend training and racing with a power meter.

My event is on X date. How soon should I start training?

Yesterday! Just kidding. You should start training at least 6 months ahead of your event. The more time you have to train, recover, and adapt, the more prepared you will be.

Can I still do group rides while training with Bell Lap?

Yes! In most cases, your coach can effectively integrate group rides with your training.

What happens on Race Day?

You head to the start line (armed with specific goals) knowing that you’re well-trained, ready to race, and feeling confident.

What happens during my off-season?

The quality of your off-season relates directly to fitness improvements in your next season and beyond. Programming during this potent time period includes strength and conditioning work, cross-training opportunities, and the goal-setting and mindset work needed to elevate your fitness.

I don’t race but want to be fast. Can Bell Lap help?

Absolutely. You don’t have to race or have an upcoming event to benefit from working with us. Many of our athletes thrive with structured training and reap the benefits of improved fitness and recovery.

Why hire a coach when I can follow a premade plan?

Working 1:1 with Bell Lap Coaching is an immersive and educational process, supported by the relationship you and your coach develop. Your coach writes hyper-specific workouts that work with your life outside of training, and makes regular modifications modified based on your actual progress.

What is a “bell lap?”

The “bell lap” is the last lap of a bike race before the finish of the event: a race official rings a bell for the competitors as they prepare the race finale.
